THE ARENAS
Extempore Speech
Participants will deliver a speech on a topic with very short or no prior preparation, while still maintaining a logical structure and clear delivery.
Rules & Regulations
- Participants are not allowed to use mobile phones, notes, papers, or any electronic devices during the competition.
- An instant topic will be given on the spot. Participants will get 1 minute to prepare, and then they must start speaking.
- Each participant will get 3 minutes for their speech.
- Participants must deliver their speech entirely in English.
- Participants must maintain discipline and follow all instructions given by the organizers.
Motion Competition
Every participant will be provided with a sheet containing three specific topics. Based on these topics, they are required to formulate and write three distinct motions—one for each topic. Subject areas may include International Relations (IR), Philosophy, Policy, Hypothetical, Character-based, Regret/Reflective, or Hybrid Motions.
Rules & Regulations
- Participants can use electrical devices or the internet to collect information.
- Directly copying AI-generated motions will lead to immediate disqualification.
- Judgment will be based on the relevancy of all three motions to the core topic, motion balance, and structural integrity.
- Participants can create the motions in either Bangla or English.
Treasure Hunt
The ultimate test of intelligence, speed, and teamwork. Navigate clues, solve puzzles, and race across the campus to uncover the hidden treasure.
Rules & Details
- Each team must consist of 2–3 members. All participants must wear their college uniform and carry a valid ID card at all times.
- Round-1: Face problems related to patterns, analytical reasoning, cross-number puzzles, general knowledge, and riddles to qualify.
- Round-2: Only 8 teams will qualify for the ultimate quest. Follow hidden clues, scan QR codes, solve layered puzzles, and race across the DIC campus.
- All team members must stay together. Splitting up to search for different clues is strictly prohibited.
- Use of mobile phones, the internet, or assistance from non-participants is banned unless specified by the organizers.
- Clues are hidden only in designated areas. Entry into faculty residences or restricted zones is strictly forbidden.
- Do not damage college property, laboratories, or gardens. Maintain the college's standard of "Knowledge, Restraint, and Discipline."
- Do not move, hide, or destroy clues intended for other teams. Doing so results in immediate disqualification.
Guess The Brand
Teams will be shown a series of logos, taglines, products, advertisements, or visual clues related to different brands. Based on these clues, they are required to correctly identify and write the names of the respective brands within the given time limit.
Rules & Regulations
- Each team must consist of exactly 3 members.
- The segment will be conducted in 2 rounds. The 1st round will be a written test, and the top 6 teams will advance to the Buzzer Round.
- No electronic devices or mobile phones may be used at any point during the segment.
AD Warrior
Teams will be provided with a product, service, or brand concept a few days prior to the event. Based on the given topic, they are required to create, shoot, and edit a dynamic 1-minute Television Commercial (TVC).
Rules & Regulations
- Each team must consist of exactly 3 members.
- The product or conceptual topic will be revealed to registered teams a few days prior to the submission deadline.
- Teams must create a video advertisement (TVC) that strictly does not exceed 1 minute (60 seconds) in duration.
- The final video must be submitted online through the designated portal before the deadline.
- Judgment will be conducted entirely offline based on creativity, cinematography, branding strategy, and overall impact.
- Plagiarism or the use of pre-existing copyrighted promotional material without significant transformative effort will result in immediate disqualification.
Asian Parliamentary Debate
An elite championship featuring structured debate rounds. The competition will be conducted in the Asian Parliamentary Format, with teams acting as Government and Opposition to argue for and against provided motions.
Rules & Regulations
- Each team must consist of three speakers from the same institution.
- Motions and subjects will be announced prior to each round.
- All teams must adhere to the time limits set for speeches by the adjudicators.
- The use of electronic devices during the active debate rounds is prohibited.
- Teams must maintain proper decorum, respect, and sportsmanship. Unfair assistance or equity violations will lead to disqualification.
- The adjudicators’ decisions will be final and binding.
Story Telling
Teams will be provided with a topic, prompt, or theme. Based on the given direction, the team is required to collaboratively present a narrative in English.
Rules & Regulations
- Each team must consist of 3 participants.
- Each team will get a total of 6 minutes to perform and complete their story.
- The use of mobile phones or any electronic devices is strictly prohibited during the live competition.
- Each team must prepare their own story in advance based on the themes provided. The story should be unique, creative, and engaging.
- Participants must maintain discipline and follow all instructions given by the organizers.
Team Based Quiz
A highly competitive arena where teams collaboratively solve challenging questions assessing analytical thinking and conceptual clarity in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.
Rules & Regulations
- Each team must consist of exactly three members. All members must actively participate.
- Team collaboration is allowed only within the team; external help is strictly prohibited.
- A primary written selection round will be conducted where teams will solve a question paper collaboratively.
- Based on written performance, the top 6 teams will advance to the final Live Buzzer Round.
- In the Buzzer Round, questions will be asked live, and teams must quickly buzz in to answer first.
- Any unfair means will result in immediate disqualification of the entire team.
Project Display
Demonstrate your scientific aptitude by transforming concepts into functional or conceptual models. This segment provides a platform to present logical, innovative solutions across Mechanical and Non-Mechanical sectors.
Rules & Regulations
- Each team shall consist of a maximum of three (3) members.
- Participants must present an original, self-developed project in the form of a model.
- Projects must be categorized under either the Mechanical or Non-Mechanical sector, based on Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Biology.
- Each project must be accompanied by a clear, coherent, and scientifically sound explanation during the judges' evaluation.
- Participants must be present at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time for setup.
- The organizing authority will not provide equipment, tools, or materials; participants must bring all necessary items (multi-plugs, glue, etc.) for their projects.
Wall Magazine Showcase
A creative platform to present knowledge visually. Participants can enter either the Science Wall Magazine (focusing on theories, proofs, and research) or the Business Wall Magazine (focusing on market trends, case studies, and corporate models).
Rules & Regulations
- Each team shall consist of a maximum of three (3) members.
- Participants are free to choose any topic, provided it falls securely within the Science or Business category.
- The content must include well-organized materials (diagrams, infographics, data charts, research findings, and relevant articles).
- The presentation must be visually appealing, structurally sound, and factually accurate.
- Participants must be present at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time for setup.
- The organizing authority will not provide display boards or mounting materials; participants must bring all necessary items.
